Day 1 consists of class room subjects explaining different aspects of bikes and how they work, where the controls are, the use of protective gear and different choices we should be making, taking off and riding the bikes, up shifting gear, going around corners, stopping the bike safely, and learning how to operate our controls in a simulated road ride 1.

Day 2 consists of another chat about choices and road craft, as well as some more advanced maneuvers, slow ride in a straight line and slow ride around a curve, a road speed obstacle avoidance technique and slalom, a give way and emergency breaking exercise as well as another more advanced simulated road ride exercise.

Once this has been completed your license will be upgraded and you will be able to sit the Online Learners Test on the Department of Transport website, once this has been completed and paid for you will have your RE Learners. This will allow you to ride a LAMS bike (https://www.qld.gov.au/transport/licensing/motorcycles/learner-approved) with an Open class rider and you must display an L plate on your motorcycle
